Sandakan Turf Club (STC) is one of Malaysia's six licensed 4D lottery operators, based in Sabah and drawing every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. It is one of two Sabah-based operators alongside Sabah 88, and like its counterpart it offers more than just the standard 4D format — players can also place permutation bets using eBox, which covers all arrangements of a chosen number for a proportionally adjusted payout.

Sandakan 4D — Standard Play
Players select a four-digit number between 0000 and 9999 and choose either a Big (ABC) or Small (A) bet. The minimum stake is RM 1. You win when your chosen number matches one of the winning numbers drawn in exact order during that session.
- Big (ABC) bet — eligible for all five prize categories: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 10 Starter prizes and 10 Consolation prizes. Gives 23 chances to win per draw across all tiers.
- Small (A) bet — eligible for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize only, with higher fixed payouts to compensate for the narrower prize coverage compared to the Big bet format.

Sandakan 4D eBox — Permutation Betting
eBox is Sandakan's permutation bet format. Instead of betting on one specific arrangement of four digits, your ticket wins if any permutation of those digits matches a drawn number. The payout per RM 1 is divided proportionally based on how many permutations are possible for your chosen number — more permutations means a lower individual payout but a greater chance of winning.
eBox categories are determined by the digit pattern of your number:
- eBox 24 — four unique digits (e.g. 1234), 24 permutations
- eBox 12 — one pair of repeated digits (e.g. 1123), 12 permutations
- eBox 6 — two pairs of repeated digits (e.g. 1122), 6 permutations
- eBox 4 — three identical digits (e.g. 1112), 4 permutations

eBox Small does not cover Starter or Consolation prizes — only 1st, 2nd and 3rd. If your number has four unique digits and you pick eBox 24 Small, your 1st Prize payout is RM 146 per RM 1 staked compared to RM 3,500 for an exact Standard Small match. The trade-off is 24 winning combinations instead of one.
When Are Sandakan Results Drawn?
Sandakan Turf Club draws take place every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 PM MYT, on the same schedule as all other Malaysian 4D operators. Special draws are held on select public holiday dates throughout the year, subject to government approval, with results announced at the same evening time slot.
