Sabah 88 is one of Malaysia's six licensed 4D lottery operators, conducting draws every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday alongside the three national operators. Based in Sabah, it is one of two Sabah-based operators — the other being Sandakan Turf Club — and offers a broader game portfolio than most, including a standalone 3D game, a permutation format called i-Play, and a Lotto 6/45 draw with a jackpot starting at RM 500,000.
This guide covers the full Sabah 88 prize structure across all game formats — from standard 4D and i-Play permutations to the 3D game and Lotto 6/45 jackpot — so you know exactly what each bet type pays before placing a ticket at the counter.
Sabah 88 4D — Standard Play
The core Sabah 88 game follows the standard Malaysian 4D format. Players pick a four-digit number between 0000 and 9999 and choose either a Big (ABC) or Small (A) bet. The minimum stake is RM 1 per bet.
- Big (ABC) bet — eligible for all five prize categories: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 10 Starter prizes and 10 Consolation prizes. Offers more chances to win across a wider range of tiers.
- Small (A) bet — eligible for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize only, with higher fixed payouts to compensate for the reduced number of winning chances per draw.

Sabah 88 4D i-Play — Permutation Betting
i-Play is Sabah 88's permutation bet format. Instead of betting on a single arrangement of your four digits, your ticket wins if any permutation of those digits matches a drawn number. The trade-off is a lower payout per RM 1 since the prize is divided across the number of possible permutations.
i-Play categories are determined by the digit pattern of your chosen number:
- i-Play 24 — four unique digits (e.g. 1234), 24 permutations
- i-Play 12 — one pair of identical digits (e.g. 1123), 12 permutations
- i-Play 6 — two pairs of identical digits (e.g. 1122), 6 permutations
- i-Play 4 — three identical digits (e.g. 1112), 4 permutations

Sabah 88 3D Game
Sabah 88 also offers a standalone 3D game where players select a three-digit number between 000 and 999. The 3D game has a simpler prize structure with three prize tiers and a minimum stake of RM 1. It draws on the same schedule as the 4D game — every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
3D Payouts
| Prize Category | Payout per RM 1 |
|---|---|
| 1st Prize | RM 500 |
| 2nd Prize | RM 100 |
| 3rd Prize | RM 30 |
Sabah 88 Lotto 6/45
Lotto 6/45 is Sabah 88's jackpot draw. Players select six non-repeating numbers from 1 to 45. A bonus number is also drawn after the main six, and it is used to determine the 2nd and 4th prize tiers. The minimum bet is RM 1, and the Jackpot 1 prize starts at a guaranteed minimum of RM 500,000, rolling over if there is no winner.
Match all six drawn numbers to win Jackpot 1. If more than one ticket matches, the prize is divided among winners in proportion to their bet amount. Jackpot 2 carries a guaranteed minimum of RM 5,000 and is won by matching any five numbers plus the bonus number.
Fixed prizes are available for the lower five tiers: 3rd Prize (5 numbers matched) pays RM 1,400; 4th Prize (4 numbers + bonus) pays RM 250; 5th Prize (4 numbers) pays RM 19; 6th Prize (3 numbers + bonus) pays RM 5; and 7th Prize (any 3 numbers) pays RM 2.
Unlike 4D fixed-rate prizes, Lotto 6/45 Jackpot 1 and Jackpot 2 are pool-based — the prize grows with each unclaimed draw and is split among winners when matched. Fixed prizes from 3rd Prize downward are paid at the stated rate per winning ticket regardless of how many winners there are.
